Govt mulls raise land rent for mining firms

Government plans to increase the land rent for mining companies? exploration and production this year, head of government revenue from mineral resources at the ministry of energy and mineral resources, Paul Lubis said in Jakarta on Friday.
The government plans to increase the annual land rent for exploration to US$2 per hectare from Rp 500, he said.
Rent for production may rise to $4 per hectare from Rp 15,000, he added. (godang)
