Govt names five surveyors to verify mineral exports

The Trade Ministry has appointed five surveying companies to verify exports of mineral products excluding oil and gas to curb illegal exports.
The five surveyors include PT Sucofindo, PT Surveyor Indonesia, PT Carsurin, PT Geoservice and PT Citra Buana, Hartojo Agus Tjahjono, the director for mineral products exports at the ministry, said in Jakarta on Wednesday.
He said that the surveyors would carry out a verification job not only on the mineral products to be exported, but also their export documents. The results of the verification should be reported to both the Trade Ministry and Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry.
The verification would be carried beginning July 5. ?All exporters are obliged to do verification,? he added. (*)
