Govt names PLN's new leaders, Fahmi Mochtar new president

The government has appointed Fahmi Mochtar as new president director of state owned electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) to replace Eddie Widiono who has retired.

"The 8-strong new board of directors (of PLN) will be installed later today," State Minister of State Enterprises Sofyan Djalil said on Monday.

Aside from Fahmi, the government also named Rudi Antara as new vice president director, Setio Anggoro Dewo director of finance, Agung Nugroho director of strategic developmet, Murtaqi Syamsudin director of Java-Bali, Hariadi director of outer Java-Bali, Supriadi director of human resources, Bambang Praptono director of planning.

"This is a dream team. All of them are insiders, except for Rudi Antara and Setio Anggoro Dewo. Setio is from the University of Indonesia, but he had been working with PLN for quite some times as head of risk management and independent commissioner of PT Indonesia Power," he said. (Bernard)
