Govt offers 7 geothermal preliminary survey projects

The directorate general of renewable energy and energy conversion at the ministry of Energy and Mineral Resoruces is offering interested parties to conduct a preliminary survey on seven geothermal concessions.

The seven concessions include Sungai Betung area in Jambi and West Sumatra, Sungai Tenang area in Jambi, Ciseeng area in Bogor and Lebak, West Java and Lebak and Malawa area in South Sulawesi

The directorate said in a statement last week that the any interested parties should send a letter to the directorate general to get a Map of Area for Preliminary Survey.

Once they get such a map, a company must apply for a work order with the ministry through the directorate general with copies sent to the Geological Agnecy, local governor/mayor and attachments including the map, administrative, technical and financial requirements.
