Govt opens tender for Songgoriti geothermal working area

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) has issued on Wednesday a tender announcement for the Songgoriti geothermal working area in East Java, covering Malang Regency, Blitar Regency and Batu City.
The working area spans 20,340 hectares and contains possible reserves of 35 MWe (P50), with estimates of 22 MWe (P90) and 50 MWe (P10). The estimated reservoir temperature is 220°C, and the development capacity plan for the project is 40 MWe. The tender is designated as a total project.

According to the announcement, the tender is open to businesses or consortiums with experience in geothermal, oil and gas, mineral or coal mining, power generation, EPC, geoscience surveys, drilling, infrastructure or related activities.
Submission of tender document deadline is set on December 3, 2025.
