Govt, Pertamina negotiating with Pupuk lskandar Muda on gas price

The government and state oil and gas firm Pertamina have agreed to supply natural gas to the second fertilizer factory of Aceh-based fertilizer maker PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda (PIM-2), Suara Karya daily reported on Tuesday.

'But we have just begun negotiations about gas price," PIM spokesman Fachrulsyah said last week.

Fachrulsyah said they hoped gas price would be maintained at the current level of US$1 per MMBTU.

PIM-2 is now under construction and expected to produce in 2003. The factory will receive natural gas from ExxonMobil?s oil fields in Aceb. (*)
