Govt plans small scale nuclear power plant

Ministry of Research and Technology said the government plans to build a small scale nuclear power plant.

Minister Gusti Muhammad Hatta said as reported by Media Indonesia that the plant would have a total electricity generation of 30 MW, with Bangka Belitung already set as the location.

?At Serpong, Indonesia already has a nuclear reactor for research purposes, now it's time to try to develop nuclear reactor for electricity generation," he said. (*)
