Govt raises fuel prices

The government increased the price of premium gasoline and automotive diesel due to rising average crude price and weakening of the rupiah against the US dollar during the past month.
The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources said in a statement the prices of premium gasoline and automotive diesel in regions outside Java, Bali and Madura effective today are Rp 7,300 per liter (up from Rp 6,800) and Rp 6,900 per liter (up from Rp 6,400) respectively.
The price of kerosene is maintained at Rp 2,500 per liter.
The ministry statement did not disclose the new price of the fuel products for regions in Java, Bali and Madura islands.
