Govt receives 171 requests to open data room

As of August of this year, the government has received a total of 171 requests to open data room of 53 oil and gas blocks, including 47 conventional and 6 non-conventional blocks.

Director for Upstream Oil and Gas Businesses at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Hendra Fadly told Petromindo.com Friday that the requests have so far resulted in 23 business deals. He did not disclose the name of the oil and gas blocks.

Separately, Head of the Oil and Gas Sub-Directorate at the Ministry, Yunan Muzafar told Petromindo.com that among of those making the request to open up data room are Total E&P Indonesie for the Mentawai Bengkulu block, KrisEnergy for Block E Seruway, Murphy for Semai Block, Salamander Energy for Bangkanai Block, Medco E&P Indonesia for Nunukan Block, and Star Energy for Sekayu Block.
