Govt send investigating team to Freeport

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources would deploy a team to investigate the tunnel collapse incident that happened on Tuesday morning in Freeport's Big Gossan underground mining site in Mimika Regency, Papua.
?We have assigned a team consisting of the head of mining safety division and three mining inspectors who would be leaving tonight to investigate the tunnel collapse incident," Director General of Mineral and Coal at the ministry said in the statement.
He said that the team would also coordinate with management of Freeport to discuss future preventives measures.
