Govt set deadline for local administrations to submit mining license data

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources said on Friday that government has set a June 6 deadline for governors, mayors and regents to submit data of mining license permits (IUP) they have issued to the ministry
The government said in announcement that as of May 21, it has listed a total of 8,475 IUP. Of the figure, 3,971 IUP are considered clean and clear IUP (registered), while 4,047 IUP are recorded and 1,168 IUP are deemed as overlap one another.
The government aims to synchronize all the IUP from provinces and regencies and to integrate IUP data to give a boost to state revenue from mining sector.
The government will announce the final data at the end of June. (godang)
