Govt set to sign new oil, gas contracts this month

Despite recent troubling reports of oil and gas contractors returning back their concessions to the government due to various reasons, appetite to invest in the upstream activities apparently remains positive with the government set to announce some of the new 2013 contracts this month.
?We?re preparing them, hopefully some can be signed in February,? Director General of Oil and Gas Edi Hermantoro told Petromindo.com Monday.
Edi said that his team is currently working hard to soon announce the winning bidders for new oil and gas blocks.
