Govt signs decree to ban tin ore exports

Trade and Industry Minister issued a decree on Friday banning exports of tin ore and concentrates starting June 1.
"Today I have signed a decree to ban exports of tin ores and concentrates...starting June 1," Minister Rini Suwandi was quoted Reuters as saying on Friday.
The ban is aimed at stopping rampant illegal mining that has caused environmental damage and been a negative factor for tin prices by increasing supply, she told reporters. (*)
