Govt still suspends Bayan?s TSA mine

Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources said Monday that PT.Teguh Sinar Abadi (TSA) in West Kutai, East Kalimantan was still forbidden to produce for failing to work according to the feasibility study, a ministry?s senior official said.

MS Marpaung, Director of Mines Technical and Environmental Affairs at the ministry told Petromindo.Com that the suspension order issued by the government for the firm will remain in place until after the company complies with its feasibility study.

He did not give further details.

TSA was ordered by the government to suspend production by government on March 20, 2009.

TSA is one of coal unit of IDX-listed coal group PT Bayan Resources. According to Bayan?s recent report, TSA and its other subsidiary PT.Firman Ketaun Perkasa will produce 1 million tons in 2009. (godang)
