Govt teams up with universities for joint study of oil, gas working areas

The Directorate General of Oil and Gas signed on Tuesday MoUs with five universities for joint study/evaluation of oil and gas working areas.
The five universities include Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Gajah Mada University (UGM), Padjajaran University (Unpad), UPN Veteran Jogjakarta, and Trisakti University, all of which deemed to have the required competency and capacity, the directorate said in a press statement obtained Thursday.
The joint study/evaluation of oil and gas working areas is aimed at obtaining optimum results and can be scientifically proven as part of preparation for direct offer of the working areas, both conventional and non-conventional, to investors.
