Govt to issue regulation on wind power feed-in tariff

The government will issue a ministerial regulation on feed-in tariff for wind power plants in the near future, Director General of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Rida Mulyana said.

?God willing, the ministerial regulation will be issued either later this month or early October. The regulation will contain feed-in tariff for all capacities,? Rida said in a statement.

He said the regulation is expected to attract investors to build wind power plants in the country.

At present, there are two wind power plants already in operation, namely PLTB Samas in Bantul regency, Yogyakarta Special Province, with a capacity of 50 MW and PLTB Sidrap in South Sulawesi with a capacity of 75 MW. ?Both power plants have interesting selling prices,? he said, without providing details.
