Govt to issue rules to implement PP 25/2000

The Ministry of Mines and Energy will soon issue a number of decrees to implement the Government Regulation No. 25/2000 on oil and gas exploration, general mining and electricity, according to the Ministry's secretary general, Joko Darmono.
"We are currently drafting rules on technical implementations of PP 25/2000 on oil and gas, general mining and electricity. And we are still preparing the ministerial decrees on that," Joko said.
He said if there were complaints from mining companies on follow-up regulations to PP 25/2000, they should be a bit passion, he said.
"God Willing, the minister of mines and energy tomorrow will send letters to governors and regents about the implementation of regional autonomy in general mining. We made this letter, while waiting for ministerial decrees," he said. (*)
