Govt to replace Ari and Iin

Minister of State Enterprises Sofyan Djalil signaled on Wednesday that the government will replace Pertamina CEO Ari Soemarno along with Deputy CEO Iin Arifin Takhyan, media reported.

Sofyan said that his ministry will conduct fit and proper test to select the candidates.

He hinted that other directors would not be replaced.

A number of names have emerged as candidates to fill Pertamina?s top job including former Minister of Mining and Energy Kuntoro Mangkusubroto, Director Achmad Faisal, former JP Morgan Indonesia top executive Gita Wirjawan, former Timah CEO Erry Riyana Hardjapamekas and former Pertamina director Sony Sumarsono.
