The government will soon start recruitment for the newly-set up directorate at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in charge of collecting and managing non-tax revenue from the mining sector.
Ministry?s Director General of Mineral and Coal Bambang Gatot Ariyono said on Friday that the recruitment process is expected to be completed next month.
The Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform last month approved a proposal to set up the new directorate for non-tax revenue from the mining sector. The management of the non-tax state revenue under the Directorate General of Mineral Coal had been less optimum due to a combination of lack of human resources and authority. The new directorate will have dedicated manpower and greater authority in managing the non-tax state revenue.
