Govt to take 5 coal miners to court on environmental crime

The Office for State Minister of Environment will take five coal mining companies in South Kalimantan to the local court, charging their mining activities have caused damage on environment.
?Five coal miners in South Kalimantan are now in the process of being taken into court,? Deputy Minister of Environment Ilyas Asad said during his official trip in the province on Wednesday.
One of the coal miners is PT Baramega Cipta Mandiri Persada (BCMP), he said.
He said that the five companies were part of the 200 mining and plantation companies in the country which would be taken to court on environmental crime. (*)
