Upstream authority SKK Migas has recommended the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to terminate three contracts of oil and gas production sharing contractors (PSC) after they have failed to fulfill exploration obligation at their respective working areas.
Spokesperson of SKK Migas Zudaldi Rafdi told Petromindo.com that the three blocks are Bengkulu PSC (Bengkulu) operated by Ecosse Energy, Rombebai PSC (Papua) operated by AED Rombebai B.V., and Sula I PSC (Central Sulawesi) operated by PT Brilliance Energy.
?We are still waiting for the termination approval of the three blocks from ministry,? he said.
He added that this year, until September, there were three PSCs that have been terminated because the contractors have failed to fulfill their firm commitments, namely Manokwari PSC (West Papua) operated by Ecosse Energy, Enrekang PSC (South Sulawesi) operated by Sigma Energy Petrogas, and Alas Jati PSC (Onshore East Java) operated by Insan Bina Perkasa.
