The Ministry of Trade raised the export reference price (or known here as HPE) for most mineral concentrate products for the period of September compared to August.

The MoT said in a statement obtained Thursday that the September HPE for manganese concentrates (Mn ≥ 49%) with average price of US$169.08/WMT, or a 0.59 percent increase; lead concentrates (Pb ≥ 57%) with average price of $922.90/WMT, or a 3.34 percent rise; and zinc concentrate (Zn ≥ 52%) with average price of $589.07/WMT, a 7.02 percent increase.

Meanwhile, concentrates whose HPE declines in September include copper (Cu ≥ 15%) with average price of $1,898.45/WMT, or a 0.47 percent decline; and iron ores (gutit/laterites) with content (Fe ≥ 51%and (Al2O3 + SiO3) ≥ 10%) with average price of $27.53/WMT declines by 0.39% percent.

Director General of International Trade at the ministry Partogi Pangaribuan said that the higher and lower HPE was in line with the fluctuation in the price of mineral commodities.

Meanwhile, concentrates whose HPEs are unchanged include iron ores (hematite, magnetite, pyrite) (Fe ≥ 62%), ilmenite, and titanium.
