Govt urged to announce winning bidders of 7 oil, gas blocks

The oil and gas industry players in the country urged the Directorate General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to quickly unveil the winning bidders of seven oil and gas blocks put on offer under the 2012-2013 regular tender program.
The winning bidders should have been announced on March 19, 2013. ?The winning bidders for the seven oil and gas blocks put on the regular tender for the period 2012-2013 which was closed on February 17, 2013, should have been announced on March 19, 2013. It was delayed to end May 2013, but until now it?s still uncertain,? an industry source told Petromindo.com Monday.
The source said the seven blocks include West Asri, Masalima, North East Sepanjang, Bengara II, Seringapalam I, Seringapalam II, and Wanapiri.
