Gulf allocates Rp 10 billion for CD in Musi Banyuasin

Speaking in his speech after the presentation of the company?s financial assistance to several elementary schools in the regency, Warwick said that a community development program was an integral part of the company'? operation in the regency.
He believes that Gulf would only be able to generate profits from its operation in the area if the company manages to build good relations and promote a mutual cooperation with the local community. Warwick said that every year the company allocates about Rp 10 billion in its budget to support such community development program.
Gulf Indonesia focuses its community development on the fields of agriculture, education and public facilities. In the agricultural sector, the company provides financial assistance and training to local farmers. A number of farmers were recently sent by the company to attend training in Bogor.
Besides giving educational facilities, Gulf Indonesia has also provided scholarships to 2,818 elementary school students, 576 junior high school students, 376 high school students and 298 university students.
Gulf Indonesia which operates several oil concession areas in the country produces about 16,500 barrels of crude oil and 47,000 barrels per day from its operation in Musi Banyuaasin. (*)
