Oil and gas firm PT Gulf Resources Indonesia expects to be able to complete its gas sale negotiation with Singapore next month, according to company vice president for administration Supramu Santosa.

Supramu was quoted as saying by the Palembang-based Sumatera Ekspress daily that the gas delivery would start in the middle of 2002.

He said that Gulf had to develop the pipeline facility first before it could deliver the gas, expected to amount to between 150 million-400 million cubic feet per day.

He said that Gulf would invest some US$50 million over the next three years not only in order to realize the Singapore gas delivery but also to be able to realize its gas supply to Caltex. (*)
