Gulf Indonesia, partners complete drilling Natuna's KF-NW-1 exploration well

Australian oil, gas firm Novus Petroleum Limited on Wednesday reported that KF-NW-1 drilling in Kakap PSC in Natuna Sea had reached its planned total depth of 2,121 meters on December 7, 2001.

According to Novus, the well is being drilled on the KF-NW prospect, located 3km west of the KF platform, in the southwest corner of South Kakap block.

Kakap is currently a gas producing block.

Novus said a comprehensive electric logging programme was being conducted.

Novus holds 25 percent working interest in Kakap PSC, while Gulf Indonesia Resources, the block?s operator, Premier Oil, Singapore Petroleum Company and state owned oil, gas firm Pertamina hold 31.25 percent, 18.75 percent and 10 percent, respectively. (alex)
