Gulf to conduct seismic survey in Ketapang contract area

?We will conduct seismic study to decide next delineation drilling locations,? Supramu Santosa, the company?s administration vice president told Petromindo.com on a sideline of a seminar organized by BP Indonesia Wednesday.
Supramu said the seismic survey would be conducted sometimes in the third quarter of this year.
Earlier the company said that further delineation drillings would be conducted in 2002.
On July 10, Gulf Indonesia Resources Limited, a 72 per cent subsidiary of Gulf Canada Resources Limited, announced oil and gas discoveries on the Jenggolo-1 well and Payang-1 gas discovery in the Ketapang PSC, following earlier oil, gas find in Bukit Tua-1 well.
Gulf Indonesia, which holds a 50 per cent working interest in the Ketapang PSC is contract operator for Pertamina, the Indonesian state oil company. Gulf's partner is Petronas Carigali Overseas Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Malaysian national oil and gas corporation Petronas, which holds the remaining 50 percent. (alex)
