Gunung Bara Utama starts haul-road construction

East Kalimantan coal miner PT Gunung Bara Utama had commenced the construction of its hauling road at Damai sub-district in West Kutai Regency on Tuesday (13/9).
Tribunnews.com reported that the Regent of West Kutai Ismail Thomas led the construction start-up ceremony, and it is expected that the road will be completed in a few months, but no other details were given by the local news potal.
In October last year, mining service company Britmindo has conducted the detailed engineering and geotechnical design for the project.
Gunung Bara Utama is a subsidiary of PT Trada Maritime Tbk. Trada has purchased convertible bonds issued by PT Awesome Coal from Zakia Ltd on 6 September 2011. Awesome Coal controls 99.99% shareholding of PT Batu Karya Berkat that owns 99.89% interest in Gunung Bara Utama. (*)
