Gunungbayan sees higher 2012 coal output

East Kalimantan coal miner PT Gunungbayan Pratamacoal (GBP), a coal unit of IDX-listed coal miner group PT Bayan Resources Tbk is expecting to exceed last year?s output of 3.7 million tons, the industrial source told Petromindo.Com.

GBP is expected to produce around 4 million tons for full-year. As of November, the company has produced around 3.5 million tons of coal, the source said.

GBP is second generation of CCOW holder with an area of 24, 000 Ha in West Kutai regency. The caloric value of the coal is between 6100-7300 kcal/kg (GAR) with total sulphur content 0.6-2.5%.
