Gurita adds another handymax to its coal fleet

Indonesian shipping firm PT.Gurita Lintas Samudera has added another handymax vessel to its coal transportation fleet through the purchase of 42,500-DWT MV Arfianie.
Bisnis Indonesia daily reported that the vessel, which was purchased for US$36.5 million, will be operated to service 2.5MTPA coal transportation contract to Suralaya power plant in Banten province.
With the addition, the company now operates two handymaxes, with the first being MV Zaleha Fitrat. The company also operates eight sets of tug and barge. (*)
