Hakuryu rig enters Petrosea?s PSOB

IDX-listed PT Petrosea Tbk, which is engaged in mining, oil, and gas services, and logistics, said that one of the Hakuryu 10 jack-up rigs operated by Japan Drilling Indonesia entered on July 13 the Petrosea Offshore Supply Base (PSOB), located in Tanjung Batu, Balikpapan, East Kalimantan.
The PSOB was given a bonded logistics hub (or PLB) status by the government in March of this year,
Petrosea said in a statement that the Hakuryu 10 jack-up rig was previously deployed at the Mahakam block, operated by Total E&P Indonesie, and after completing its contract mid this month, in accordance with the existing regulation in Indonesia, the rig planned to exit the country?s water territory.
?This is a concrete form (of services provided) by the Petrosea PLB. The Petrosea PSOB has been providing its services since 2015 for oil and gas sector activities in the surrounding water, and is expected to become a logistics hub for the Asia Pacific region,? Petrosea said in the statement.
The company added it plans to set new PLBs in other regions particularly in the eastern part of Indonesia to help realize the country?s ambition of become the logistics hub in Asia Pacific region.
