Hallin Marine completes subsea construction works for Santos? Maleo field

Singapore-based Hallin Marine Subsea International plc, a provider of subsea solutions to the oil and gas industry, announced Thursday the completion of the Subsea construction works worth US$4.5 million for Santos? Maleo field offshore East Java.

Hallin Marine mobilised a construction Barge and Saturation Diving System, Air Diving System and specialist subsea personnel to carry out installation of spool pieces in order to make the Subsea pipeline completion in water depths of 80m to assist the operator to achieve first gas production.

?We are pleased with a further successful completion for our Indonesia office on this, our first contract with Santos, and are proud to have carried out the subsea works to enable the oil & gas operator to achieve First Gas on the Maleo development,? said John Giddens, Hallin Marine Chief Executive.

Maleo field is located in the Madura Offshore PSC. Santos operates the block with 67.5 percent of working interest, while Petronas Carigali and PT Pantai Madura hold 10.0 percent and 22.5 percent, respectively.

Maleo field commenced gas production last month. (Robert)
