Hamworthy secures W. Java LNG regasification order

Hamworthy, a UK firm specialized in the design and manufacture of innovative marine and offshore fluid handling systems, announced Tuesday that it has signed a contract with Golar LNG Energy to supply a liquid natural gas regasification system with a value in excess of ?20 million. Delivery of the system is scheduled by the end of 2011.
The system will be installed on the West Java Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU). The West Java FSRU project will be Indonesia's first LNG regasifcation terminal and represents the first FSRU project in Asia. The Hamworthy patented system has a high level of efficiency as it is based on sea water heating and its compact design makes it attractive for retrofit installation.(alex)
