Hanson to divest coal unit

Indonesia-listed firm PT Hanson International Tbk announced on Friday that it would divest entire 10 percent of its share in PT Hanson Energy to majority shareholder in Hanson Energy PT Optima Persada Energy and PT Dika Karya Lintas Nusa.
Optima Persada and Dika Karya have 77.5 percent and 12.5 percent stakes in Hanson Energy, respectively.
Hanson International will sell the 10 percent stake with worth of Rp 300 million (nominal price), the company said in statement, adding that the company will conduct general shareholder meeting next month to get the approval.
Hanson Energy has two coal mines in Ogan Komering Ulu (area of 14,990 ha) and East Ogan Komering Ulu (4,000 ha) regencies, South Sumatra. Both mines were holding IUP operation & production, it said.
The company did not give production figure from both mines.(denny)
