Harbin Electric targeting 2x300 MW project this year

China?s EPC and power equipment company Harbin Electric International Co. Ltd is targeting to receive a contract from 2x300 MW power plant project to be developed under the 35 GW mega projects.

Steven Song, the firm?s marketing representative in Indonesia, told Petromindo.com recently that the firm is eyeing a power plant project located in Jambi. ?This year, we are targeting to get contracts from at least a 2x300 MW project in Jambi,? he said.

Steven explained that aside from being an EPC contractor, the firm manufactures boiler, turbine and generator for coal fired power plant and hydropower power plants.

The firm has been experienced in developing projects in Indonesia. ?One of our EPC projects which have been completed is Paiton Unit 9,? he said, referring to the newest power unit owned by state owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) in the Paiton power complex in Probolinggo regency, East Java.
