Harita: Smelter to start commercial production early next year

Mining firm PT Harita Prima Abadi Mineral said that construction progress of its first phase alumina smelter in Ketapang, West Kalimantan, has reached about 50 percent of the targeted works, and is on track to enter commissioning stage at the end of this year.
?Commercial production is expected to start early next year? said Erry Sofyan, President Director of Harita Prima on Thursday.
He added that the first phase smelter will have a production capacity of 1 million tons per year. The company plans to develop smelter in four phases with a combined capacity of up to 4 million tons per annum with planned total investment of Rp 24 trillion.
