Harpindo to carry out survey, drilling on Lampung III

Harpindo Mitra Kharisma will fulfill its firm commitment on Lampung III block in the forms of 2D seismic acquisition covering 250 km and drilling on two exploration wells, including Satria-1 well, upstream authority SKK Migas said.
Nugrahani, Head of Exploration Division at SKK Migas, told petromindo that the block has been drilled before, Cabang-1 well by Petrocorp in 1992 and Terbanggi-1 well by Japex in 1982.
The results of those drilling, according to Nugrahani, showed indications of hydrocarbon but no further tests were conducted.
The Lampung III PSC is located in the South Sumatra and covers an area of 4,617 sq km.
