Harsco to ship first coking coal this month

PT Harsco Mineral will send off first shipment of coking coal from its East Kalimantan mine to undisclosed buyer in Japan this month, the company official told Petromindo.Com.

The company will ship 40,000 tonnes of semi soft coking coal to a steel plant in Japan under a long-term contract, the official said without identifying the buyer. ?We sell it (coal) to end user directly not through a trader,? the official said.

The company, which is located in Kutai Kartanegare regency, has begun commercial operations and at the present, the company produced 40,000 tonnes of semi soft coking coal per month, the official said. (denny)
