Indonesia-listed coal miner group PT Harum Energy Tbk said last week that its East Kalimantan coal unit PT Tambang Batubara Harum (TBH) will not conducting exploration activity until September 2011.

TBH is waiting land-used permit approval from ministry of forestry, the company said without giving further details.

Earlier, Harum said that TBH will start production before end of this year and is expected to produce 1.5 million tonnes of coal next year. ?For this year, we target to produce around 500,000 tonnes from TBH mine,? president director Ray A. Gunara has said.

Harum Energy has two other coal producing mines PT Mahakam Sumber Jaya (MSJ) and PT Santan Batubara (SB). Harum is planning to produce 10.5-10.7 million tonnes of coal in 2011, higher than its production of 7.4 million tonnes last year.

MSJ is expected to produce 7.5 million tonnes, up from 5.3 million tonnes in 2010, SB is targeted to produce 2.5 million tonnes, higher than last year?s production of 2.1 million tonnes. (denny)
