Harum seeks to activate mines in 2018

IDX-listed coal mining firm PT Harum Energy plans to activate its 3 coal mines in Kalimantan following improvement in coal market.
??.. the company also plans to prepare its other mines, namely Santan Batubara (SB), Karya Utama Pertiwi (KUP), Tambang Batubara Harum (TBH) to be ready for production by early 2018 in anticipation that the market is to remain stable beyond that period,? the company said in an Annual Report released Friday.
Currently the company only produces coal from its Mahakam Sumber Jaya (MSJ) mine, with 3.2 MT of output in 2016.
SB started production in 2009 but has to be shut down in 2014 due to declining coal price, while the other two are yet in production.
Harum plans to produce 4-4.5 MT of coal from MSJ this year.
