Hasnur sets to increase production from S. Kalimantan coal mines

South Kalimantan coal producer Hasnur Group is on track to produce 2.4 million tones of coal this year from its two mines and is aiming to increase production to 4.4MT next year.

A company official told Petromindo.Com on Thursday that its coal mining units PT Energi Batubara Lestari (EBL) and PT Bhumi Rantau Energi (BRE) would produce 1.2MT each this year. Next year, the official said, EBL is set to double production to 2.4MT and BRE to 2MT.

BRE is located adjacent to EBL in Tapin regency with concession area of 2,000 hectares each. The mines produce coal with CV range from 5,200-5,300 kcal/kg. (denny)
