PT Adaro Corporate Secretary Devindra Ratzarwin said to Coal Asia that this year's heavy rainfall will not affect the company's production activity, which is targeting to reach between 50 and 53 million tons.

"We are optimistic about meeting the target," he said on Monday.

PT Adaro booked a production output of 47.67 million tons in 2011, increased from 42.20 million tons the year before, and was 13 percent higher than the target of 46 million tons. According to Devindra, Adaro's production got back to its normal speed in 3Q 2011 with less rainfall, with output increased about 20 percent to 12.39 million tons compared to the corresponding quarter in 2010.
