Herald Resources commences N. Sumatra zinc-lead project pre-feasibility study

The company said it would conduct delineation drilling at the Anjing Hitam main deposit where current resources are 10.0 million tonnes at 15.3 percent Zn, 9.4 percent Pb, 14g/t Ag. Then, as part of the pre-feasibility stage, specific infill drilling for continuity, geo-technical and metallurgical bulk sample requirements will continue into the March quarter 2003.
Preliminary environmental studies have already been commissioned with conceptual mine planning and site survey to start soon. This will be followed by deposit geo-technical and metallurgical test work later in the year, said the company.
Herald controls 80 percent stake in Dairi project, while state miner PT. Aneka Tambang Tbk. Holds the remaining 20 percent.(alex)
