Hess? Indonesian crude net production increased

US Based oil and gas company Amerada Hess recorded Indonesia?s liquid net production of 6,000 barrels per day (bpd) in the second quarter of this year, as against last year?s corresponding period of 4,000 bpd, according to the company?s second quarter results announcement released Wednesday.
This year?s second quarter liquid net production was also higher than previous quarter production of 5,000 bpd.
The announcement also stated that natural gas production for Indonesian and Thailand stood at 34 million standard cubic feet per day. But the data did not provide production breakdown.
In Indonesia Hess has working interest in several contract areas, namely Jabung, Lematang and Jambi Merang in Sumatra, Pagatan in Kalimantan, and Pangkah in East Java.
Industry sources said that currently Amerada Hess is negotiating with British oil and gas company Premier Oil Plc, to increase the formers? working interest in Pangkah production sharing contract area. (alex)
