Hess starts LPG production from E. Java field

U.S oil, gas firm Hess Corp. has started LPG production from its Ujung Pangkah field in Pangkah PSC, offshore East Java last week.
Upstream oil, gas authority BPMIGAS said in its website that LPG production from the field will initially start at 3,000 BPD, ramping up to 6,000 BPD by the end of 2010.
All of LPG production from Ujung Pangkah will be dedicated to supply domestic demand, it said.
Ujung Pangkah currently produces 85MMCFD of gas and 5,500 BPD of liquids.
Hess has 75 percent stake in the block with Kuwaiti oil, gas firm KUFPEC holding the balance. (denny)
