US oil, gas independent firm Hess Corporation would inject up to US$200 million per annum starting this year as part of the company's commitment to increase its investment in oil and gas sector in Indonesia, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Jero Wacik said.
He said that the company will keep investing up to the next six to ten years.
"We have met Hess' big boss today and they commit to invest US$ 200 million per annum and they will start its exploration in Fakfak, West Papua," Jero told the press conference. "This is a big jump investment for Hess in Indonesia."
