IDX-listed heavy equipment distributor firm PT Hexindo Adiperkasa has won sales contracts with a total value of US$45 million from two major mining companies during the first quarter of this year, Kontan reported Wednesday.

In the first contract worth $15 million, Hexindo would sell two units of heavy equipment to PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara, and to provide maintenance service for seven years for the equipment sold to the company.

?We will sell two units of EX 5500 heavy equipment to Newmont at total value of $12 million,? the company?s general manager Hery Akhyar said on Monday. He did not say whether the remaining $3 million of the contract value would be for the maintenance service.

Hery said that in the second contract worth about $30 million Hexindo would also sell several units of heavy equipment to a major mining company. He, however, declined to name the buyer. (*)
