Hexindo seeking to sell dozens of heavy equipment to coal firms

Heavy equipment producer PT Hexindo Adiperkasa Tbk is negotiating to sell dozens of heavy equipment to six coal mining companies.
Hexindo which sells Hitachi products, expect the negotiation can be completed soon and the contract can be signed in the fourth quarter of the year.
Syamsu Anwar, a director at the company, refused to identify the six coal companies, only saying ?They have concessions in Kalimantan,? adding the firm hopes to sell 70 units of excavator and dump truck to the coal miners
Hexindo has targeted to sell 2,680 units of heavy equipment this year with mining sector expected to account for 20 percent, down from 2986 units last year during which mining sector absorbed 20 percent of the sales. The largest buyers, or 80 percent, are the plantation and forestry sectors.
