ASX-listed Kingsrose Mining Limited provided Wednesday an update in relation to the evaluation of the Splay vein at the Talang Santo Mine, located on the Way Linggo Project in South Sumatra. Underground mine development conducted over the last 3-months has confirmed a second ore body with the extension of the Splay vein on the 3 Level of the mine, with a current strike distance of 183 meters, the company said in a statement.

Kingsrose said development has highlighted the existence of two distinct zones within the mineralized corridor of the Splay vein. The main mineralized zone of the Splay vein (Zone A) consists of a vein averaging 2 meters wide, strike of 113 meters and a length weighted average grade (uncut) of 27.60 g/t Au and 95.9 g/t Ag. Beyond Zone A, a fault intersected the ore body with a minor offset into a narrower high grade zone (Zone B). Zone B is a narrower vein, averaging 0.5 meters wide over the current strike of 66m at 14.78 g/t Au and 23.8 g/t Ag. It is anticipated that Zone B is still capable of being bulked to allow stoping.

Kingsrose is now establishing trial stoping in both the A and B Zones from the 3 Level up. This work will enable the evaluation of mining factors such as dilution, mining recovery and the effect of higher grade outlier assays on the mined grade for use in future resource updates.

The Company will monitor the performance of the bulked stope material produced from the mine and processed during ramp up and will update the market accordingly if any material change to current production guidance is anticipated.

In light of the results from recent development and limited drill information below the 3 Level, a review of the Talang Santo drillhole data set was completed. The review identified two holes located close to the intersectionof the Splay vein with the main ore body 65 metres below the sill of the current 3 Level which are now attributable to the Splay vein. The following intersections were returned:
? DDH208 1.25m @ 30.6 g/t Au and 39.7 g/t Ag; and
? DDH206 4.0m @ 10.4 g/t Au and 33.6 g/t Ag.

Drill platforms are currently being established and an underground drill rig will be mobilized in early August to undertake infill drilling to assist with further evaluation of the extent of the Splay vein and to test additional targets.

Managing Director Scott Huffadine commented: ?This exciting development clearly shows that Talang Santo is a much larger system than was previously seen at the Way Linggo Mine. It is very encouraging to see the high grade mineralization of the Splay vein continuing at such length while remaining open. Importantly, it allows us the opportunity to establish stopes on the Splay vein and assess its performance once mined. The potential for further similar structures in the system is a real possibility and the current drilling program is aimed at identifying additional lodes.?
