This long planned activity has suffered frustrating delays due to weather and contractor issues - the first contractor selected had to be replaced and the second is now mobilizing, the company said.
The company has undertaken significant exploration across its exploration prospects in Indonesia, including surface sampling and scout drilling campaigns identifying multiple epithermal gold prospects on Sumba project.
Surface sampling continued at the Delta prospect in the Bird?s Head region of West Papua, resulting in further confidence in the prospectivity of this area. ?We have now undertaken as much work as can be reasonably justified and drilling is the logical next step. Application has been made for the necessary drilling permits, and equipment is being mobilised to site in anticipation of drilling permits being issued soon,? Chief Executive Officer Drew Simonsen said. (romel)
